Stanford in Chennai (open to public; registration required): Knight-Hennessy Scholars Information Session

    * As the American Center is co-located inside the American Consulate, please follow the entry regulations given below to enter the building: 

    • Each visitor is required to bring an original valid Government issued photo ID like driving license, passport, Aadhar card, voter ID, etc. The security guard will retain this and return it when the visitor leaves the building. Each visitor must bring an independent ID.  American citizens are required to bring their passports for entry into the building. 
    • The entrance to the USIEF office is through the U.S. Consulate - Cathedral Road Gate.
    • Please do not bring any electronic equipment (No laptops/ipad/pen drive/ iPod/ blue tooth device) except your mobile phones. The security guard will collect your mobile phones for safe keeping and return it when you leave the building. 
    • Vehicles cannot be parked at the entrance or near the Consulate.

    • Visitors below 17 years of age should bring their valid, original school or college photo ID card and must be escorted by an adult at all times.

    Please join us to learn more about the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program at Stanford University. Each Knight-Hennessy Scholar will receive full financial support to pursue a degree in any graduate program at Stanford - from PhDs in education, engineering, humanities, and sciences to arts degrees like DMA or MFA to professional degrees like JD, MBA, or MD.

    The application to enroll in autumn 2020 will open in May 2019. You are eligible to apply if you earned (or will earn) your bachelor's degree in 2014 or later. For U.S. military (active or veteran) applicants, you are eligible if you earned your bachelor's degree in 2012 or later.

    The event will include a presentation covering Stanford University, the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program, and the admission process. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions of an Admission Officer.
